Trevor Hunt, born in 1975, is from the Fort Rupert area of the Northwest Coast of British Columbia. The father of three children, Trevor comes from a long line of master carvers who have been instrumental in the survival of the Kwaguilth art form, including his father Stan Hunt, his uncles Eugene Hunt and Tony Hunt Jr. Trevor's Grandfather was Henry Hunt, and his great-grandfather, Mungo Martin (Chief NaKePenkem).

Trevor has been painting Kwaguilth myths and stories since he was 10 years old, and began carving under the tutelage of his father in 1997. His work is in many galleries in North America. Since 1995 he has a total of 11 print designs all sold out to date. Some notable achievements include:

- a publication award through a nation wide search for young artists and featured artist in a nationally distributed book.

- logo design for the Kwaguilth District Counsel, and the logo for Thunderbird Shopping Plaza in Port Hardy, B.C.

- 14 ft killerwhale mural painting in the resort of Telegraph Cove, and 4 poles for the district of Port Hardy, which are displayed around the towns core.

Trevor has recently set up a carving school and hopes to in turn pass his skills down to his children, to keep the strong traditions alive. He takes pride in making his own cedar bark rope and ceder bark skirts for his pieces, and is curently making his own drums made from deer hide that he hunts for sustenance.
