Authentic 4 x 6 in. Bentwood boxes with Northwest Coast native crests by local carver James Michaels. Made from Red and Yellow Cedar planks which are steamed and bent to form the box.

The process of making a bentwood box is unique to the Northwest Coast, in which a single plank of cedar is notched in three places and bent to form a four-cornered box. These boxes were typically used to preserve perishables or to store ceremonial regalia.
